Colab Attends 2025 Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) Conference in West Palm Beach

Colab joined board members from the NW 79th Street CRA and NW 7th Avenue CRA at this year’s FRA Conference to explore innovative strategies in community redevelopment.

Key insights included the importance of communicating data through clear, actionable findings rather than large datasets; designing more walkable streets through road diets, ground-floor activation, and shaded, pedestrian-friendly environments, buffered bike lanes; and improving public awareness through strong branding and storytelling.

Other highlights included creative ideas for transforming stormwater ponds into parks and open spaces, and discussions on recent state legislation—particularly SB 180, which limits zoning and regulatory reviews for municipalities.
